If you’re into ‘Tour De France, Melbourne has something in store for you. 2019 FedUni Road National Championships is on 4th – 8thfeaturing the best cyclists the nation has to offer spanning over 5 days of road racing, time trials and criterium. Showcasing a range of local and international talent is the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race from 24th – 27th January. Including family fun, entertainment and of course, cyclists racing along The Great Ocean Road’s beautiful scenic roads.

Festival of Sails

Come to the waterfront to watch the largest keelboat regatta in the Southern Hemisphere on 26th – 28th combined with a massive entertainment line up and fireworks to top off the already jam-packed day of entertainment.


Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webbers musical Evita will be the theatrical experience of the year. Credited with more than 20 awards the story follows the wife of a former Argentine Dictator from her humble beginnings to extraordinary wealth, power and status. The musical is available from 5th December 2018 to 6th January 2019.


The 9th Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art

Significant art pieces from across the Asia Pacific will be on display at this free exhibition presenting some of the most creative designs mixed with cross-cultural insights. Featuring more than 80 artists and groups from over 30 countries guests will be able to explore never-before-seen installations, paintings, photographs, videos and sculptures. Open daily from 10am to 5pm.

The Sleeping Beauty

A beautiful all time classic. The ballet is based on the Charles Perrault fairy tale and set to the famous music of Tchaikovsky. Showcasing Queensland’s finest young dancers’ talents along with breathtaking costumes and scenery. This ballet is not something to miss out on. Held at The Playhouse QPAC from 16th January to 19th January.

World class wheelchair basketball tournament held at the Caloundra Indoor Sports Stadium from 11th-13th January. This event gathers athletes from all states around Australia and overseas.
